Senior technical consultant
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide input with regard to architecture requirements to the functional and technical design of applications
- Can translate the design specifications made by the consultants in high-quality technical specifications
- Translate business requirements into optimal architectural solutions by using knowledge of architectural policies and standards, by identifying architectural coherence across applications
- Apply his/her senior expertise to delivery high quality development work, according to the Itineris standards in an efficient and effective way
- Act as a technical lead in relation to the Itineris Product and/or Project Manager and in relation to the developers within the development and implementation team
- Assess current architecture and propose the most convenient solution to customer
- Coach his/her less senior colleagues, enabling them to increase their competencies
- Plan in detail the required development work and divided in manageable work packages in collaboration with Product and/or Project Manager
- Limit the impact of upgrades on software
- Add value to the Product Strategy of a young company
PROFILE
- University degree in Computer Science or related field or equal by experience
- At least 5 years of relevant IT experience with at least 2 years in a role as Senior Technical Consultant
- At least 5 year expertise in developing in OO-programs
- Experience with successful implementations (at least 3 years experience on large projects)
- Knowledge of quality framework for development of software and/or implementation of ERP-applications
- Have a good technical/architectural overview of Client server
- Experienced knowledge of projects with large databases
PREFERABLY
- At least 3 years expertise as developer in Dynamics AX
- Good knowledge of SQL. Knowledge of Biz Talk and Sharepoint is an asset
- Have some feeling with the functional domains related to Utility Supplier environment (transaction management, marketing & sales, billing, invoicing…)
- Knowledge of standard rules, concerning Electricity market, UMIG guidelines of Belgian market, EDSN guidelines of Dutch market is an asset
- Experience with performance improvements in Dynamics AX
